In 1973, Ma-Kö Mining Inc. was established to provide raw material to Kilsan. With its equipment, Ma-Kö extracts clay and coal from its licensed mines. In 1997, Ma-Kö acquired the clay preparation activity of Kilsan and started selling Kilsan prepared clay.

In 1999, Ma-Kö changed its name to Ma-Kö Mining, Forestry, Agriculture, Tourism and Commerce Inc. and started reforesting its licensed mines. So far, Ma-Kö has planted over 20,000 trees.
